A set of Basic assumptions that help you make sense of Reality

Instead of assumptions about reality.

What is the difference between the following two statements?

  1. A set of basic assumptions that help you make sense of reality.
  2. Basic assumptions about reality.

The difference between the above two statements is clear.

The first one presents information on the concept of humans living on the planet earth, that has been proven to be true, either directly or indirectly over the last 4000 years.

The second statement refers to a subjective relativism world view from a personal individual human experience point of view.

There is a vast difference between the above-presented viewpoints. That is precisely how the people of the world are divided regarding their world view. Some an utterly subjective word view without outside information. Others may refer to data from a scientific resource to consult the bigger picture from a vast supply of people that study the life on earth at many levels. They examine the material world of chemistry, biology, geology, physiology, anthropology, social psychology and other.

Modern day technology has given digital computers that are fast in calculating statistics and data from the human life experience. The study of physiology portrays are a clear image of how the human physiology works, what it needs for energy, renewing, strength and for rest.  Food for energy and nutritional needs, and water for digestion, cleansing, the blood, the cells and for respiration.

There is no physiological need in the human body for cigarette or drug smoking, or for drinking alcohol.  Those habits are picked up from a culture that does not have the right information about human physiology. Another cause for drug use and cigarette smoking is matters of the mind. The mind may be anxious, restless, confused or depressed.  Therefore, people look for ways to self-medicate their brains to feel better.

In history, at times, bad habits have been encouraged and advertised as desirable. Cigarette smoking was encouraged and broadcast on multimedia, the radio, television, and movie stars proclaiming it on movie breaks. The Camel and Marlboro brands are only two of them from the ’60s and ’70s.

The Marlboro man worldview.

The Marlboro man was used to present a world view, that life was for the tough, rough and the brave, and to be part of that image you were encouraged to smoke Marlboro or the Camel brands.

As a result of that advertising, many people’s worlds view was changed. The proof of that change was in participating in the macho world view and starting the smoking habit. As shallow as the Marlboro man image may have been, people did not regard their physical health as important as having that image with the reality of feeling it from inhaling smoke and nicotine. There was an instant kick or a head spin from the moment that the smoke was inhaled. To the smoker, the feeling of a buzz was a sign of reality.

Where was reality placed?

The reality past that smokers experienced was in their five senses. Sight, hearing, smell and feel. People were conned to pick up bad habits by the advertising that appealed to the need of self-identity, an image, and the feelings that the five senses interact with substances.

Lack of knowledge.

Because of the lack of knowledge regarding a healthy human physiology need and environment people substituted the potential of feeling good from a healthy physiological condition. An optimal physical condition comes when the physical body is functioning at an optimal healthy state. Young people most often have an optimal healthy condition, and they regard smoking as being dangerous to health a harmful habit.

People were duped into believing lies.

And as they believed in the lies, the lies changed their lives fundamentally. The facts about human physiological needs are clear. Food for nutrition and energy, water for the liquid needs, sleep for restoration and rest.

They had compromised their mind thinking. To explain the bad habit of smoking cigarettes, they had to rationalize it to themselves and to other people that they hang out with if they don’t smoke themselves.

If smoking is a symptom, of a state of being, what is the cause?

Every person has their own history, the transition from being a non-smoker to be a smoker. Lack of right information, knowledge of the human physiological body to maintain a healthy environment.  Even peer pressure, by people that are an adversary to healthy living.

Compromising health standards is negative. It is one thing to compromise one’s own values, but entirely different to lead other people down the highway of destruction.

Many people do not see past their own nose, they just cannot think beyond the immediate moment. They have no understanding, or they don’t care to believe regarding the material world cause and effect reality. If the buzz is real for a moment, some people do not care what the anti-buzz will feel like after the experience of a “high.”

People often deny Reality, by the escape hatch of the feelings.

If people do the unthinkable, just for the sake of experiencing the momentary buzz, or a high, they are very likely to escape from a realistic worldview for the sake of convenience.

World view Compromised.

To discover the reality of a realistic world view, the first prerequisite for that discovery is to accept the objective truth of the world as it is in the fact of life.

The short road to knowing truth and facts is to accept accurate information regarding truth and life. Human nature generally is such that it is prone to be subjective and to skew the reality of the world to suit individual experiences.

Parents would know that some children need a lot of guidance and instruction to get them to conform to the realities of life in a society. There is the social aspect, the education aspect, and the need for physical activities and exercises. Also, hobbies, sports, and music lessons. Children need a lot of guidance and training to master themselves and their future careers in an interactive human society.

A world view that is Consistent with the Life Principles.

As difficult as it may seem to some people, the starting point of discovering truth and reality in life is not subjective self.

After all, whether a person understands it or not, but all the connections of the mind have been adapted and learned from the interactions of the physical world. People realize what water looks, feels and taste like, from their experiences with water. Similarly, they know what specific fruit look like, feel and taste, from having seen, felt and ate that fruit. With the exotic fruits, people have no idea what the fruit will smell or taste like, without seeing, feeling and tasting it.

Likewise, people will imagine all kinds of worldviews like they were exotic fruits that they have never seen, felt or tasted.  They fool themselves thinking that they know what they believe in when in reality they have no substance to what they believe in.

To understand the fundamental principles of the Biblical World view, the 4000-year timeline history needs to be heard and understood. The basis for a biblical world view is found in the 4000-year timeline history.

The Torah teaching is as valid today as it was during the days of Jesus from Nazareth.  The Torah does provide a biblical world view. There is a real need for integrity, honesty, and truth.

Often human worst enemy is themselves, their bad habits.  Jesus from Nazareth does give an answer to the problem of self. Jesus also had to deal with the issue of self in him. Yeshua chose to live by the books of the Torah, he died to self for the prerequisites of Christ be fulfilled according to the holy scriptures.

Yeshua from Nazareth provided the answers to the fundamental needs of the human restless living soul. People attain the truth in life by choosing it as a choice of the will. To identify with Yeshua from Nazareth teachings enables the Spirit of Elohim to reveal the instructions in the Torah.    According to the Ruach Adonai, Elohim, Ruach HaKodesh.

Thank you for taking the time to consider the basic principles, and the concept of a Biblical Worldview
